R125 Refrigerant

R125 refrigerant, chemical name pentafluoroethane, is an essential component of the mixed working fluid, used to replace R502 and R22; used as a fire extinguishing agent to replace R1211 and R1301.

R125 or HFC125 is an HFC refrigerant that does not damage the atmospheric ozone layer. R125 is an integral part of the blending of R404A, R407C, R410A, R417A, and R507. R410a, mixed with R32, is a new type of refrigerant used in various air conditioners. R125 can be used to replace R502 and R22 and can also be used as a fire extinguishing agent to replace Halon 1211 and Halon 1301.
